Nike je najavio još 2015. da planira proširenje World Headquarters kampusa u Oregonu. Sada, četiri godine kasnije, ova kompanija je krenula izgradnju 6. po redu zgrade u kojoj će biti smešten tim za inovacije. U čast košarkaške legende koja je Nike brend ambasador još od 2003, odlučili su da zgrada ponese ime LeBron James.

Nova LeBron James zgrada biće smeštena na severu Nike kampusa i biće 5 puta veća nego trenutni prostor u kojem se nalaze stručnjaci za tehnologiju i inovacije. Pored toga što će u njoj biti kancelarije za dizajnere, inžinjere i naučnike, ova zgrada imaće i košarkaški teren urađen po NBA standardima.

“Ne mogu da verujem”, izjavio je ovaj dvostruko nagrađivan Olimpijac i trostruki NBA šampion. “Čast mi je da sam deo ovakve kompanije poslednjih 18 godina. Činjenica da će podići zgradu sa mojim imenom je zaista kruna naše saradnje.”

😱🥺😊Man this is so surreal! When I got the call this was happening I couldn’t believe it! I was literally shedding tears. You guys know where I come from but if you don’t I come from the inner city projects, single mother, only child, and statistics would suggest I would never EVER make it out let alone be alive still to tell you about it. Now I’ll have my own building at the Nike Head World Quarter where my family and I legacy will live on forever. The home of the Advance Innovation team and new state of the art Nike Sports Research Lab! Everything will get made and lab tested in my building! Like WHAT?!?!?
